John R. Graber

John R. Graber, 81 of Elkhart, passed away May 7, 2015 at the Elkhart Hospice House.

He was born April 30, 1934 in Loogootee, IN to Samuel Graber Jr. and Caroline Kemp. He married Ruth E. Cripe who preceded him in death. He married Betty J. Adams on April 14, 1984 in Osceola. She survives with his son, Steven A. (Cindy) Graber of Elkhart; 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson; Daughter in-law, Laura Graber of LaPorte; 3 step-children, 3 step-grandchildren and 3 step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, John Graber Jr., 1 sister and 2 brothers.

John worked for 36 years at Elkhart Products Co. retiring as a supervisor. He was a member of Beulah Missionary Church. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed all sports.

Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Monday, May 11th at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home and an hour prior to the service on Tuesday, May 12th at 12 pm at Beulah Missionary Church. Pastor Brent Poe will officiate. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka.
