John Kopidlowski

John Kopidlowski, age 78, of Elkhart, passed away Thursday January 13, 2022 at his home. He was born on December 14, 1943 in Johnstown, PA to John and Helen Kopidlowski. John married Barbara Jean Yadvish on April 7, 1979 in Bound Brook, NJ., she preceded him in death on December 9, 2021.

John was an IT team leader for the office of information technologies at IVY Tech community college in Elkhart and South Bend. He was a hard worker and was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather. He loved spending time with his family and his friends.

John is survived by his children Tracy (Josh) Lambdin of Goshen and Christine Kopidlowski of Montclair, NJ; grandchildren Evan Lambdin and Isabella Kopidlowski; his brothers Andrew (Therese) Kopidlowski of Arizona, Stephen (Lisa) Christopher of Arizona and sister Ellen (John) Wielgomas of Toms River, NJ., sister-in-law Janet (James) Holliday of Manville, NJ., brothers-in-law Thomas Yadvish of Wyoming and Vincent (Tammy) Yadvish of South Bend, IN.

Visitation will be held 4-8 pm on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514 where the rosary will be prayed at 5:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 411 West Vistula Street, Bristol, IN 46507 where friends may visit one hour before mass.
