John Namisnak, 85, of Elkhart, died at 4:20 am April 3, 2010, at Eastlake Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. He was born September 3, 1924 to George & Eva (Adamowski) Namisnak in Auburn, NY.
He is survived by son Timothy J. (Lisa) Namisnak of Elkhart; daughters Julie (Tim) Namisnak-Jones of Farmington, NM and Susan (Joe) Martinez of Mishawaka; 6 grandchildren Andy, Mike & Emily Namisnak, Kaylen & Sydney Jones, and Olivia Martinez; and sister Betty Daly of Auburn. He was preceded in death by brothers Ted, Mike, Steve & Bob; and sisters Anna Lukowski, Julia Quinn, Helen Lesyshyn & Mary Young.
Mr. Namisnak received his masters and bachelors degrees from Drake University. He owned NAMCO Industries with his brother, and was general sales manager at Skyline for 10 years. Prior to retirement, he worked at Magnum Security 7 years. He was a US Army veteran of WWII.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm Thursday at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, Elkhart where funeral services will be held Friday at 10:30 am. Father Bob VanKempen of St. Mary’s Catholic Church will officiate. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
