Joyce graduated from Concord High School in 1955 and enjoyed meeting frequently with her classmates. Prior to her retirement from Wesco Distribution, she was employed by Holly Park Homes in Shipshewana, IN and Sioux Falls, SD.

Joyce was a longtime member of River Oaks Community Church and enjoyed the services given by Pastor Tim Rowland. She also enjoyed a bible study group led by Gloria Rowland.

Joyce, often called Joycee, loved to travel with her husband Dave. They were able to go on many adventures together. She loved her family and many friends and would always have an open mind and heart to listen and help them in any way she could. They were always welcome into their home for a snack and good conversation. She was “Grandma Joyce” to more than just family.

She had a fascination with hummingbirds and would love to watch them at her feeders. She couldn’t wait for spring to come to see her first one of the season. “The hummingbird’s delicate grace reminds us that life is rich, beauty is everywhere, every personal connection has meaning and that laughter is life’s sweetest creation.”

Joyce fought a courageous battle of health issues the last two years while keeping a positive attitude and spirit. She will be remembered for her kind and loving spirit, beautiful style and infectious laugh.

A Celebration of Life service will be held for Joyce at River Oaks Community Church, 58020 County Road 115, Goshen, IN, in the Youth Worship Center at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 22, 2017.
