Judith Erickson

Judith G. Erickson, 78 of Mishawaka, passed away Thursday, January 4th, at Memorial Hospital, South Bend.

She was born on December 19, 1939 in Elkhart to James and Ruby (Nickell) McCombs. She married Douglas K. Erickson on Oct. 21, 1961 in Elkhart. She is survived by her husband Douglas and 2 daughters, Dana (Thomas) Trent of Dublin, GA, Samantha (Garrett) Caggiano of Mishawaka, and a son, Mark (Tammy) Erickson of Goshen; 4 grandchildren, Kari Trent, Taylor Hostetler, Breece Erickson and Gavin Caggiano; 3 sisters, Mona Swikert of British Columbia, Jane McCombs of California and Marsha (Mike) Hileman of Ft. Wayne. Judy was preceded in death by a daughter, Rhonda Erickson and her parents.

Judy graduated from Elkhart High School in 1958 and worked as a purchasing agent for Stripco Steel in Mishawaka. She was a member of Twin City Baptist Church in Mishawaka and was an avid golfer and bowler.

The family will receive friends from 2-5 pm Sunday, Jan. 7th at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, Elkhart. Funeral services will be held at 10 am Monday, Jan. 8th at Hillcrest Baptist Church in Mishawaka. Dr. Daniel Gelatt will officiate. Burial will be at Rice Cemetery, Elkhart.
