Julie Ann Hluchota, daughter of Que and Mike Morelli and Leon and Pam Hluchota, passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2015. Julie was born in Elkhart, Indiana, on April 6, 1988.
Her family, including her sister Alison Hluchota and step-siblings Sarah Morelli, Jessica Morelli, Rob Mitchell, Kate (Mitchell) Hummel, and Christine (Mitchell) Swarm, will miss her, and we will spend the rest of our lives trying to share her love. Julie is also survived by her grandparents, Barbara Cloud, Leon Hunter and Wanda Bialik, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Julie was immensely talented and creative, and well-known for being a fashionista. She attended Indiana University in Bloomington and studied apparel merchandising. Her passion for history, politics, and current global events was balanced with her joyful, fun personality, and hilarious sense of humor. Recently, Julie was looking forward to studying for the LSAT, attending CrossFit Gym, joining a church, and finding opportunities to volunteer. Unfortunately, her ongoing battle with addiction ultimately overcame her strong will and hopes for her future.
To all parents - love and support your children. Know that drugs are everywhere and readily available. You can’t stick your head in the sand – be alert, watch for signs and address any use immediately. Once addicted, it’s very, very hard to battle.
To those addicted – ask for help. Don’t be embarrassed or afraid. Don’t think that it won’t happen to you. It can and it will. Your life is worth any amount of money, time, and effort required to help you. During your darkest times know that you are loved by many and are not alone.
To Julie – God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around you and whispered, “Come to me”. Yes, Jesus loves you, this I know. Love you Always and Forever.
Please help us celebrate Julie’s life at a gathering this Sunday evening from 5pm – 8pm at Faith Lutheran Church 406 S. 5th St., Goshen, IN. There will be a church service at 11am on Monday and an additional visitation will take place from 10am-11am before the service.
