June R. Swinehart

June R. Swinehart, 87, of 1009 West Mishawaka Road, Elkhart, died Wednesday, November 25, 2009 at 2:20 am at Elkhart General Hospital.

She was born June 6, 1922 in Lansing, Iowa to Floyd and Lucille (Cochran) Boyer. She married Omar O. Swinehart on July 23, 1945 in Elkhart. He survives along with a daughter, Susan Swinehart of Elkhart. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Virginia Fawley, a brother Wilbur Mott, and a son Lawrence “Larry” Swinehart.

Mrs. Swinehart was a 1940 Concord High School graduate and a homemaker.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the 11:00 A.M. funeral service Saturday, November 28, 2009 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart. Rev. Ron Spyker of Jefferson Brethren Church will officiate. Burial will be at Prairie Street Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to the National Parkinsons Disease Foundation.
