Kathy Bailey

Kathy (Robinson) Bailey, age 56 years old, of Bristol, passed away at home on Sunday July 21, 2013. Kathy was born on August 19, 1956 in Shelbiana, KY.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Kathleen Robinson; sister Ruth Ann Crossett and brother, Claudy Jay Robinson.

Kathy is survived by her husband of 30 years, James Bailey, her great-granddaughter, Takiyah Bailey of Bristol and step-daughters, Anita (Bob) Bowen and Shawn Bailey along with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Her surviving siblings are Jesse (Ann) Robinson, Johnny (Rosanne) Robinson, and Michael Todd (Sharon) Robinson all of Shelbiana, KY, Judy Burdin of Elkhart, Bobbie (James) West of Robards, KY, Audrey (Wayne) Sharpnack of Bradenton, Fla, Lassie Gunter of Prescott Valley, AZ, and Donnie (Katherine) Robinson, Ronnie Robinson and Lonnie Robinson all of Elkhart. In addition, Kathy also leaves behind several nieces and nephews.

Kathy left behind a host of dear friends who were an important part of her life.

Kathy was employed by Jones Motor as terminal manager for the past 16 years.

Visitation will be from 4-8 pm Thursday, July 25th at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral & Cremation Center, Elkhart, where services will be held at 11 am Friday, July 26th. Pastor Raymond Laborde will officiate. Entombment will follow at Hope Mausoleum, Rice Cemetery.
