Kay M. Riley, 85, of Wakarusa formerly of Elkhart, passed away Friday January 17, 2025 at The Waters of Wakarusa. She was born September 12, 1939 in Redkey, Indiana to Willaim and Elsie Daugherty.
On August 1, 1959 in Frankton, IN she married Larry D. Riley who preceded her in death on November 16, 2008.
Kay loved being with Larry and together they enjoyed cross-country skiing, walking and being outdoors doing anything. She also enjoyed gardening and antiquing with her sisters, She was an excellent cook and vacuumed at least daily!
Surviving are her daughters, Anne Riley of Lafayette, IN, Carole (Tim) Logan of Bristol and Sarah (Jeff) Bowser of Nappanee, IN; 6 grandchildren: Erin (Travis) Easter, Ian Riley-Nelson, Samantha (Colin Scheiber) Logan, Annie Logan, Isaac (Piper) Bowser, and Lily Bowser and 4 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 49 years Larry, and 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
There will be a private graveside service for Kay at Zion Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her husband.
