Larry "Joe" Davis

Larry “Joe” Davis, age 82, of Placida, Florida formerly of Elkhart, Indiana passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2022. Joe was born to Charles R. and Faye (Hartman) Davis in Elkhart, Indiana.

Joe graduated from Elkhart High School. He went on to honorably serve his country in the United States Marines, where her received the rifle sharpshooter badge. He worked for the Elkhart City Fire Department for over 10 years. Joe worked in construction and maintenance for more than 30 years. Joe enjoyed riding his motorcycle, fishing, travel and his retirement in Florida. He loved spending time with family and friends. He will be sadly missed.

Joe is survived by his children Donnie (Sherry) Davis of Jacksonville, NC., Angela Davis of Elkhart, Justin Davis of Boca Grande, FL and Nathaniel Davis of Boca Grande, FL; grandchildren Courtney Davis and Zack Davis and great-grandchildren Lucky Lee, Macy Ray, and Reese Edward; his sister Beverly (Tom) Hunt of Middlebury, IN and brothers Keith (Nan) Davis of Elkhart and Ron (Mary) Davis of Union, MI., sister-in-law Joyce David of Ft. Meyers, FL., Joe was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Faye Davis; his brothers Richard Davis, Jerry Davis and Marlin Davis

In keeping with Joe’s wishes no services will be held and a celebration of life for the family will be held at a later date
