Larry D. Riley, 69, of Elkhart, passed away November 16, 2008 at his home after an extended illness.

He was born March 31, 1939 in Curtisville, Indiana to Thomas C. and Elsie (Zentmeyer) Riley and married Kay M. Daugherty on August 1, 1959 in Frankton, Indiana. She survives with 3 daughters, Anne (Craig Porter) Riley of Lafayette, IN, Carole (Tim) Logan of Bristol, and Sarah (Jeff) Bowser of Nappanee; 6 grandchildren; 1 brother, Marion Riley of Elwood, IN and 3 sisters, Delores Long of Waterville, OH, Carol (Jerry) Emerson of Greentown, IN and Lucy Lipp of Flint, MI. A brother, Glen Riley preceded in death.

Mr. Riley retired in 2004 as a sales representative from Stonewall Masonry. He was a member of Winding Waters Brethren Church and enjoyed woodworking and was an avid outdoorsman.

Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 pm Wednesday at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home where services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday. Pastor Scott Turskey will officiate. Burial will follow at Zion Cemetery, Bristol.

Memorials may be given to American Cancer Society.
