March 27, 1928 — March 22, 2025

Elkhart

Lenore Kurth, born Leonora A. Chimienti and affectionately known as Eleanor, was surrounded by the love of her family as she peacefully passed into the presence of the Lord on March 22, 2025, just one week shy of her 97th birthday. She lived a long and beautiful life filled with creativity, tenderness and deep devotion to her family.

Lenore was a gifted artist with a passion for watercolor painting and sketching fashion designs. She was also a talented seamstress who poured her love into every doll, pillow and Halloween costume that she made for her grandchildren. Her love and delight for babies and little ones was boundless whether she was cradling a newborn or playing on the floor with toddlers.

Her greatest masterpiece was the family she nurtured. Lenore was the cherished mother of AnneMarie (Michael) Faloon, Dawn (Paul) Shalda, and Jacqueline (David) Stefan. She was the last surviving of eight siblings born to Paul and Anna Chimienti. Lenore was also preceded in eternal life by John Clemente, with whom she shared her early years of marriage, and Hans Kurth, her loving husband in later life, as well as her beloved son, Jackie Clemente, and her great-grandson, Hawke Faloon, whom she dearly loved.

She was a devoted and adoring grandmother to Patrick (Jennifer) Faloon, Ashley Faloon, Jonathan (Brynne) Faloon, Christopher (Karyn) Shalda, Andrew (Stephen Davis) Shalda, Amber Shalda, and Danny Stefan.

Lenore’s legacy continues through her great-grandchildren: Max, Mia, and Molly Faloon; Ezra and Vincent Faloon.

Her family carries forward her memory in the beauty she left behind and the love that lives on in each of them.

Lenore’s family extends their heartfelt appreciation to Alicieah, her caregiver at Greenleaf Health Campus and to Elizabeth, her private caregiver.

While no formal service is planned, Lenore will be laid to rest at Holy Sepulchre in Southfield, Michigan later this year, beside her beloved husband, Hans.

On behalf of Lenore’s tender heart for children, donations may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
