Lillian May Crume, 88, of Elkhart, died Feb. 22, 2012 at Golden Living Center. She was born Nov. 2, 1923 in Elkhart County to Harvey A. and Mildred E. (Wilhelm) Wise and married Allen T. Crume on June 2, 1941. He died June 9, 1987. Surviving are 4 sons, Allen E. (Yvonne) Crume of Valdez, AK, Raymond E. (Judith) Crume of El Cajon, CA, Thomas E. (Bonnie) Crume and Robert E. (Linda) Crume both of Garner, NC; 2 daughters, Betty (George) Morin Jr. of Hooksett, NH and Sue (Fred) Kent of Sioux Falls, SD; 17 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Wayne (Joey) Wise of Elkhart and 2 sisters, Marilyn (Ron) Ball of Elkhart and Margie (Gerry) Cripe of Ocala, FL. She was preceded in death by 7 brothers, Cecil, Arthur, LaMar, Robert, Raymond, Harold and James Wise and a great-great grandson, Chaselor Burris.
Lillian was a loving mother and enjoyed traveling, especially cruising.
Visitation will be from 2-6 pm Friday and an hour prior to the 1 pm funeral service on Saturday at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home at Cobblestone Crossing, Elkhart. Rev. Jewel Hagar will officiate. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
