Lillis M. "Lil" Conn

Lillis M. “Lil” Conn, 96 of Elkhart, IN. passed away Jan. 25, 2014 at 2 PM at Hubbard Hill Estates. She was born on April 30, 1917 to Thomas and Charlotte (Blair) McDowell. She married James M. Conn Sr. on Sept. 25, 1937. He preceded her in death on Dec. 24, 1982.

Survivors include three sons; Jim (Lana) Conn of Elkhart, Jeff (Robin) Conn of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. and Tom (Kathi) Conn of Elkhart, a daughter, Betsy (Dr. Michael) Clinton of Birmingham, AL., 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Judith Stull and 4 brothers.

Friends may call 1 hour prior to the 3pm Memorial Service Friday Jan. 31 at Hubbard Hill Chapel 28070 C.R. 24, Elkhart with Pastor Dave Severance officiating.
Burial will be at a later date in Florida.

Mrs. Conn worked as a secretary for many years at Dometic Sales and C.T.S. in Elkhart. She was a member of Zion Missionary Church where she was very involved on several committees including Helping Hands. She volunteered at Elkhart General Hospital as a pink coat. She was a poll judge, loved to play the organ, piano and enjoyed crocheting. Lillis was an amazing mother, devoted wife and a friend to everyone. She loved her family and always put them first.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Hubbard Hill.
