Linda D. Went

Linda Darlene Went 63, of Union, Mich. died Wednesday March 21, 2012 at Elkhart General Hospital. She was born July 17, 1948 in Elkhart to Albert D. and Catherine (Clement) Smith and married Ken Earl Went on Jan. 17, 1970 in Elkhart. He survives along with a daughter, Tina (Brian) Helbling of Edwardsburg, MI, a son, Jeffrey Went of Union, MI, 3 grandchildren, Kyle Went, Brandon Helbling and Autumn Went and a sister, Marsha (Dennis) Schroth. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Terry L. and Mitchell R. Smith.

Linda was retired from C.J. Banks Co. where she worked in sales. She enjoyed traveling, scrapbooking, going to the casinos and spending time with her grandchildren and family.

Visitation will be Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm and an hour prior to the 11 am service on Tuesday at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home at Cobblestone Crossing, Elkhart. Pastor Christopher Garner will officiate.

Memorials may be given to Crystal Valley Missionary Church, Middlebury or Women’s Walk With Christ.
