Logan Ian West

Logan Ian West, 28 of Elkhart, Indiana died October 2, 2009 @ 2:30 P.M. as the result of an auto accident. He was born on July 5, 1981 in Dayton, Ohio to Marc and Pam (Smith) West.

Surviving are his fiancé, Jessi Gunter of Elkhart, Indiana; a daughter, Brooklyn West, at home; his father, Marc (Lori) West of Elkhart; his mother, Pam Smith of Elkhart; a brother, Colin West of Goshen; a grandmother, GeorgeAnn Smith of Mottville, Michigan and Step Grandparents, Roger (Marlene) Couse of Nappanee, Indiana. He was preceded in death by grandparents, David Smith, Donald and Norma West.

Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Tuesday at Stemm Lawson Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Boulevard, Elkhart. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church, Elkhart with the Reverend Glenn Kohrman officiating. Burial will follow at Rice Cemetery, Elkhart.

Logan was a welding supervisor for Mor/Ryde International, Elkhart. He was also a Senior at I.U.S.B. working toward his Bachelors degree in International Business, Finance and Economics. He was a member of St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church and the Harley Owners Group. He loved his bike, fishing with his dad and brother, History, Airplanes, Video Games, Notre Dame Football, Chicago Cubs and cars.
