Lois Mae Jimison

Lois Mae Jimison, 94, of Elkhart, passed away Thursday Dec. 15, 2016 at Greenleaf Health Campus surrounded by her family.
Lois was born May 23, 1922 in Elkhart to George “Pappy” and Fern (Lytle) Glick.

On July 15, 1944 in Granger she married William R. Jimison who preceded her in death on July 14, 1991.
Surviving are 2 sons: Robert E. (Sue) Jimison of Hudson, Colorado and Bradley R. (Joi) Jimison of Elkhart and a daughter, Debra Jimison of Elkhart, a granddaughter Allison (Matt) Dahlin of Hudson, CO. and a great-granddaughter Taylor Marie Dahlin.
She was preceded in death by a brother Richard Glick and a sister Ivadell Martin.

Lois graduated from Elkhart High School in 1940 and worked at CTS during WWII. After her marriage, she became a mother who was involved with all her children’s activities like sports, band and summer camps. She loved NASCAR and the Chicago Cubs.

Visitation will be 2 to 4pm Sunday Dec. 18 and one hour prior to the noon services on Monday Dec. 19 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Jenkins of New Salem Methodist Church officiating. Private burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens next to her husband Bill.

Memorials may be made to Humane Society of Elkhart County or Heartland Hospice.
