Lucille A. Aston, 79 of Elkhart, Indiana died May 2, 2009 at 10:10 A.M. at Hospice House, Elkhart. She was born on November 16, 1929 in Chicago, Illinois to Robert & Bertha (Chester) Petrone.
Surviving are 5 daughters; Linda Peffley, Betty Austin and Gwendolyn Lower of Elkhart, Diane (William) Riordan of Montgomery, Illinois and Shelly Aston of Mishawaka, Indiana, a son, Kenneth (Debbie) Lower of Aurora, Illinois; 16 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; 3 great great-grandchildren; 4 sisters, Lorraine (Brassi) Miossi of Palm City, Florida, Pauline Fugazatto of Wilmette, Illinois, Leona Tafoya of Chicago, Illinois and LaVerne Campbell (Lucille’s twin sister) of Elkhart, Indiana. Two brothers, two sisters, Pearl & Patsy and a daughter, Sheila Aston preceded her in death.
Friends may call from 2-4 P.M. Tuesday at Stemm Lawson Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Boulevard, Elkhart.
She worked at Wendy’s for 14 years in addition to being a homemaker and mother and grandmother. She was a very kind, compassionate, caring person and always willing to help others.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude’s
Children’s Research Hospital, Alzheimers Disease Foundation or the American Heart Association.
