Luella Kocielko

Luella Kocielko, 69, of Elkhart at 9:40 AM Nov. 25th 2014 ended her earthly journey and was called home by her beloved husband and best-friend who preceded her in death June 16, 2011.

She was born July 31, 1945 in Chicago, IL to Robert T. Dawson and Christine Taylor. She married Richard J Kocielko Sr. on Nov. 8, 1974.
She is survived by two daughters Lynette (Brian) Reecer and Joleen Cox of Elkhart and two sons Richard (Tiffany) Kocielko Jr. of Elkhart and Paul Kocielko of Michigan City; 17 grandchildren and 10 great- grandchildren and two nieces Christi (Paul) Salchek of Dayton OH and Cheri (Tom) Smith of Celina OH. She was preceded in death by her daughter Ruth C. Field and her only brother Bill Dawson.

Ms. Kocielko dedicated her working years to Goodwill Industries. She was not only loved by her employees, but made several friends through her customers. She spent most of her life as a wife and mother to not only her own children but many neighborhood kids as well.
She loved vacations with her husband, long weekends at the casinos and watching her favorite TV shows.

A memorial service will be held at 5 pm Saturday, Dec. 6th at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home where family and friends may visit from 4 pm until the service time.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Elkhart General Hospital Foundation, Diabetes Education Program.
