Madeline E. Wild

Madeline E. Wild, 87, of Elkhart, died at 10:20 am, Thursday, September 10, 2009 at the home of her son Randall.

She was born October 19, 1921 in Englewood, NJ to Carl and Elsie (Schlupp) Lautenschlager and married Carl E. Wild on December 29, 1946 in Ft. Lee, NJ. He died April 11, 1991. Surviving are 2 sons, Stephen Wild and Randall Wild both of Elkhart; 5 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 2 sisters.

Mrs. Wild was a production worker for Whitehall Laboratories, Inc. for 7 years and previously worked for Consolidated Motion Picture Co. as a film printer for 5 years. She was a member of St. David’s Episcopal Church, Women of the Moose and A.A.R.P. She enjoyed cooking and gardening.

Friends may call from 2-5 pm Sunday at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd. Elkhart, where services will be held at 10 am Monday. Father Henry G. Randolph of St. David’s Episcopal Church will officiate. Burial will follow at Rice Cemetery.
