Madonna Louise Loser

Madonna Louise Loser, 84 of Elkhart, passed away Thursday, December 12, 2013 at the New Woodland Manor.

She was born April 24, 1929 in Anderson to Charles D. and Hester (Free) Kelly. She married Walter “Bill” Loser on November 17, 1951. He died on October 31, 1994. Surviving are a daughter, Teresa (James) Shaffer of Elkhart; 3 grandchildren, Eli Shaffer, Jacob (Jessica) Shaffer and Aaron Shaffer; a great-granddaughter, Emma Shaffer, and a sister, Mary Anne Coia of Buffalo, NY.

Mrs. Loser retired from the State of Indiana after 15 years as a records clerk for the Department of Education in Indianapolis. She was a member of Beulah Missionary Church and volunteered at the YMCA Senior Center. She loved euchre, bingo and her cat.

Visitation will be from 2-5 pm Sunday, Dec. 15th at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral & Cremation Center, Elkhart where a memorial service will be held at 5 pm. Graveside services will be at noon Monday, Dec. 16th in the chapel at Maplewood Cemetery, Anderson. Her son-in-law, James Shaffer will officiate.
