Margaret Ann Freet

Margaret Ann Freet, 82 of Elkhart, passed away March 11, 2015 at her son’s home.

She was born April 23, 1932 in LaGrange County, Indiana to Clarence C. and Lucy Ann (Smith) Pfenning. She married Herman S. Freet on May 15, 1973 in Elkhart. He died on Jan. 27, 2007. Surviving are 2 daughters, Barbara Jean Estep of Elkhart and Beverly (Larry) Hibschman of Nappanee; a son, Brent (Lori) Draime of Elkhart; 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren and a brother, Paul (Ann) Pfenning of Ligonier. She was preceded in death by a son, Keith Devon Wise, 4 brothers, Charles, Clarence, Albert and Dick and 3 sisters, Mary Lou and Marian and Marge.

Visitation will be from 10 am to noon Saturday March 14 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home followed by the service at noon. Pastor Matt Gingerich will officiate. Burial will be at Oakridge Cemetery, Bristol at a later date.

Memorials may be given to the Center for Hospice Care.

The family would like to give a special thanks to her wonderful caregiver, Marie and to the Center for Hospice for the care given to Margaret.
