Mark E. Shinabarger

Mark Shinabarger, 69, of Elkhart, passed away on November 4, 2017 at Elkhart General Hospital. He was born on November 7, 1947 in Elkhart, IN to Kenneth and Suzanne (Ister) Shinabarger. He married Jeanette E. Hummel on January 1, 1965 in Elkhart. She passed away on September 12, 2013.

Mark is survived by 2 sons: Jeff (Diana) Shinabarger of Carrollton, VA and Brian (Sherrill) Shinabarger of Elkhart; 4 Grandchildren: Ashley, Alex, Jordan, Kyra; 4 Great-Grandchildren; 5 brothers: David (Lucy) Shinabarger of Granger, IN, Paul (Amy) Shinabarger of Houston, TX, Keith (Judy) Shinabarger of Naples, FL, Jim Shinabarger of Houston, TX, and Carl (Rhonda) Shinabarger of Bristol, IN.

For more than 20 years, he owned and operated J-Mar Designs in Elkhart with his wife. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Elkhart.

Friends may pay their respects Friday, November 10, from 11am-1pm at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, where a service will begin at 1pm. Burial will take place at Oakridge Cemetery in Bristol.
