Martha Lillian Slack

Martha Lillian Slack, 75 of Elkhart, IN passed away on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family. Martha was born on December 12, 1949 in Winterhaven, FL to Oscar Eldred and Mary Mildred Griffin. She married Edwin Perry Slack on January 15, 1977.

Martha earned her business degree from Jones Business College in Jacksonville, FL. She worked in the banking industry and at the local pharmacy, most of all she enjoyed being a wife to her husband and a mom to her children. Martha enjoyed spending time with her husband at Lake Michigan. She also enjoyed reading a good book and getting great deals while shopping. She was an avid Notre Dame football fan. She loved to spend time with her family and friends.

Martha is survived by her husband of over 48 years, Edwin; children, Jodi (Chaz) Taylor of Elkhart, IN and Michael (Barbara) Graham of Elkhart, IN; granddaughter, Gabrielle Graham; sister Mary Elizabeth Curry of Merritt Island, Fl., niece Carolyn Curry Tallman, nephew Thomas Curry; great niece Margaret and great-nephew Joseph; brothers-in-law Blake (Cindy) Slack and Romayne (Edna) Slack, nieces Heather (Shaun) Lowry and Teresa (Ken) Nissley; and Shonne (Jon) Harkrider.

A time to gather will be from 4-6 pm on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514 Burial will be private at Zion Cemetery in Bristol, IN.
