Martha R. Garber

Martha R. Garber, 92, of Elkhart passed away Monday, March 20, 2017 at Eastlake Terrace, Elkhart.

She was born February 1, 1925 in Nappanee, IN to Fred and Minnie E. (McAfee) Berkeypile. She married Warren Garber on November 22, 1952 in Goshen. He passed away in 1977.

She is survived by her son, Stanley (Susan) Garber, of Elkhart, IN.

She was preceded in death by her siblings: Kathryn Deisch, Bernice Mishler, Lois Lechlightner, Freida Hostetler and Paul Berkeypile.

She was a department manager for Montgomery Ward for 15 years. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church.

Friends may visit with the family from 12-1 PM Thursday March 23, 2017 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home. At 1 PM, a procession will go to the graveside service at Oakridge Cemetery in Goshen. Pastor John Hogsett will officiate.

Memorial contributions may be given to Harbor Light Hospice.
