Mary Anne Bardo, age 86, of Bristol, IN, passed away on Wednesday February 3, 2021 at Eastlake Nursing Home and Rehabilitation. Mary was born on March 25, 1934 to Walter and Martha Stone in Elkhart, IN.
She married the love of her life, Samuel B. Bardo on October 19, 1952 at the Methodist Church in Elkhart.
Mary graduated from Elkhart High School in the Class of 1952, she worked as a secretary at Kesko Products, but her favorite career was being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and a great great grandmother. She was a member of the Bristol United Methodist Church, where she so joyously sang in the church choir for over 46 years. Her smile was infectious, and she was honored to have many friends. Mary was a great cook, and loved sharing her kitchen skills with others.
Mary is survived by her husband of 68 years, Sam Bardo: their children, Brady Bardo of Middlebury, Brent (Dawn) Bardo of Elkhart, and Julie (Jeff) Brenner of Bradenton, FL. Their 7 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren; her daughter in law, Patricia Bardo of Elkhart; her siblings Dale Stone of Goshen; and Susan (Claude) Bowyer of White Pigeon, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Bruce Bardo, her brother Charles (Mettie) Stone, and her very special sister Barbara Stone.
Friends may visit with family from 5-8 pm on Monday February 8 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home,
1531 Cobblestone Blvd. Elkhart, IN 46514. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday February 9, 2021 at the Funeral Home, where visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service. Pastor Gary Lewis, from Bristol United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will follow at Oakridge Cemetery in Bristol, IN.
