Mary M. Eby

Mary M. Eby, 96, of Bristol, died June 14, 2010 at BRC Homecare, Middlebury. She was born February 22, 1914 in Ossian, IN to Leary and Myrtle (Helvie) Snyder. She married Frank B. Eby in 1945. He preceded in death along with former husbands, Elton K. Stutsman and Harold Hershberger Sr. Surviving are children, Russell L. (Jeanne) Stutsman of Bristol and Betty (Orla) Miller of Middlebury; step-children, Harold (Donna) Hershberger Jr. of White Pigeon, MI, Wayne (Brenda) Hershberger of Bellbrook, OH, Tannice (Dan) Lehman of Topeka, IN and Shirley (David) Eymer of Texas; 28 grand and step-grandchildren, 57 great and step-great grandchildren and 19 great-great-and step great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a step-daughter Viola Gross, sisters, Martha Brooks and twin, Mildred Hart, a brother, Lewie Snyder and 1 great-grandchild.

Mrs. Eby retired from Weyerhauser Corp. in Middlebury after 17 years. She attended the Bristol United Methodist Church, was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Bristol, and the Senior Breakfast Club.

Visitation will be from 2-4 & 6-8 pm Wednesday and an hour prior to the 10 am funeral service on Thursday at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, Elkhart. Pastors Fred Stayton and Herb Minnich will officiate. Burial will follow at Vistula Cemetery.
