Mary A. Erwin, 93, of Elkhart, passed away Wednesday July 13th at Hubbard Hill Estates, Elkhart.
She was born Jan. 13, 1923 in Elkhart to Earl and Clara (Kramer) Campbell. On May 3, 1945 in Elkhart she married Otho “Jim” Erwin who preceded her in death on Sep. 15, 1999.
Surviving are son, Steven (Sandra) Erwin of North Webster, IN; a daughter Carolyn Stevenson of Elkhart and 7 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Michael Erwin and 2 sisters, Eileen Campbell and Nancy Kochanowski.
Mary graduated from Elkhart High School in 1941. She worked in production at Mile’s Laboratories during World War II and retired after 19 years from Elkhart Community Schools in the cafeteria. She attended Central Christian Church and enjoyed spending time with her family, playing pinochle and reading.
Visitation will be from 11 am to 1 pm Saturday July 16th at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home where services will be held at 1 pm. Entombment will follow at Chapel of Peace Mausoleum, Rice Cemetery.
