Mary Anne Kinder, 80, of 29785 Oregon Ave., Elkhart, died at 8:30 pm, Monday, August 31, 2009 at her home.
She was born October 12, 1928 in Leslie, West Virginia to Albino and Hester (Flowers) George. She married Karl K. Kinder on July 29, 1946 in Powellton, WV. He died on March 23, 1995. Surviving are a son, Karl K. Kinder II of Clearwater, FL; 3 daughters, Janet (Johnny) Garrard of Louisville, MS, Kathy (Ronnie) Robison and Tina (Richard) Butterworth with whom she lived, both of Elkhart; 13 grandchildren and 17 grandchildren; 2 sisters, Rose (Leon) Grindstaff of Edwardsburg, MI and Colleen Juday of Blairsville, GA. A daughter, Kim Emerick, 2 brothers Paul and Joseph George and 3 sisters, Mildred Bland, Gloria Nielsen and Ruth Ramsey all preceded in death.
Mrs. Kinder retired as a cost analyst for Imperial Fabrics, of Elkhart where she had worked for many years. She was a member of Bethel Tabernacle of Niles, MI and loved cooking, sewing and shopping.
Friends may call from 5-8 pm Thursday at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd. where services will be held at 10 am Friday. Reverends Matthew and Nathan Bair of Bethel Tabernacle will officiate. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
