Mary J. Reecer

Mary J. Reecer 87 of Elkhart, passed away on Monday, April 9, 2018 at her home.

She was born Jan. 7, 1931 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Walter and Laura (Emerson) Grabner. She is survived by her 6 children, Deborah (Phil) Keller of Elkhart, Steven Reecer of Maumee, OH, and Thomas Reecer, Dale (Valerie) Reecer, Douglas Reecer and Brian (Lynette) Reecer all of Elkhart; 18 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Jack Grabner and a sister, Phyllis Brock-Priebe.

Mary retired in 1999 as a secretary for the City of Elkhart, Engineering Dept. after 27 years. She loved her family and her animals.

A memorial service for Mary will be held at 2 pm Saturday, April 28th at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, Elkhart, where family and friends may visit from 1 pm until the service time. Her son-in-law, Pastor Phil Keller will officiate.
