Mary Frances Todt

Mary Frances Todt, 90, of Elkhart, died at 12:00 pm, September 28, 2010 at Riverside Village in Elkhart. She was born August 7, 1920 to Jay and Daisy (Dury) Chapman in Sturgis, MI. She married James William Todt on October 5, 1947 in Elkhart.

He survives along with their son Robert E. (Susan) Todt and daughter Deborah S. Rowland, of Elkhart; grandchildren Robert (Wendy) Price, Jennifer (Ken) Davis, Michael Todt, Jennifer (Brian) Bulmer and Matthew Todt; great-grandchildren Brittany, Tyler and Alyssa Price; and brother Morris (Jean) Chapman of Sturgis.

Mary was a homemaker and a member of Grace Lutheran Church, where she served on the Altar Guild and helped with the church bazaar. She was an avid golfer, gardener, and enjoyed her family and gatherings at Simonton Lake.

Friends may visit the family Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home at Cobblestone Crossing, Elkhart. Funeral services will be at 10 am Saturday at Grace Lutheran Church. Rev. Tim Diemer will officiate. Burial will follow at Rice Cemetery.
