Marybelle Bonfiglio

Marybelle Bonfiglio, 101, of Oro Valley, Ariz., passed away Friday, March 27th at home under the care of Casa de la Luz Hospice.

She was born March 20, 1914 in Goshen to James and Roxy Belle Shea. She is survived by two sons, James (Deborah) of Arlington, TX and Michael (Ruth) of Oro Valley; 2 grandsons; and 4 great-grandchildren. Her husband Fred, preceded her in death in 1974.

Mary spent her life as a homemaker in Elkhart, where she enjoyed caring for her family. She was also an avid exerciser. Even in the final months of her life, she would attend organized exercise classes. The last 10 years, Mary spent her winters Oro Valley, where she moved permanently in 2014.

She made many friends through her exercise classes and through activities with her family. She always enjoyed a good party and was loved by all who knew her.

A Graveside memorial will be held at 11 am Thursday, July 30th at St. Vincent’s Cemetery. Following the graveside, all are invited to the Christiana Creek Country Club, 116 W. Bristol Street, Elkhart from noon to 2 pm to share memories with the family.
