Matthew M. Cherepak, 76, of Elkhart, died Wednesday Jan. 10, 2018 at Elkhart General Hospital. He was born on May 20, 1941 in Clifton, NJ to Peter and Mary (Kurima) Cherepak. He married Jane Reese in 1963 in Elkhart.
Matt is survived by his wife, Jane, of Elkhart; 2 Sons: Stephen (Eric Knabe) Cherepak of Indianapolis and Michael (Lisa) Cherepak of Kansas City, MO; 2 grandchildren: Cydney and Caz Cherepak of Kansas City, MO; and a niece, Laura Liddle, of Denver, CO.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Cherepak.
Matt graduated from Goshen College. He received an MBA from IUSB. He retired from Nyloncraft, where he was a Materials Manager. He attended First Presbyterian Church in Elkhart. He was the Regional VP of APICS, as well as the Chapter President in Elkhart. He was a Docent at Kalamazoo Air Zoo.
Friends may visit with the family from 2:30-4 PM Saturday Jan. 13 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, where there will be a service at 4PM. Pastor Rebecca Kuiken will officiate.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Kalamazoo Air Zoo.
