Maureen K. Bellamy

Maureen Kay Bellamy, 88, of Elkhart, IN, passed away Sunday December 22, 2024, at Greenleaf Living Center, Elkhart. She was born June 9, 1936, in Spencer, Iowa, to Gilbert Henry and Edith May (George) Hill. On March 29, 1954, in Auburn, IN, she married Gene S. Bellamy, whom she celebrated 57 years of marriage with.

Maureen was a member of Faith United Methodist Church and enjoyed Needlework, singing in the choir, baking pies, reading and sewing. She was also involved in a number of musicals, followed politics and loved to travel, especially to the ocean.

Surviving are her children, Vicki (John) Thomas of Quincy, IN, Debra (David) Kershner of Goshen, Randall (Cindy) Bellamy of Madison, IN, and Eric Bellamy of Jackson, FL., and Cara (Steve) Starzyk of Elkhart, IN. 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Gene on November 28, 2011.

A visitation will be held at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd. Elkhart, IN, 46514, on Monday, December 30, 2024, from 10 am to11 am, where a celebration of life will begin at 11 am.
