Maxwell L. King, 90, of Elkhart, passed away Tuesday Nov. 6, 2018 at his home.
Max was born July 22, 1928 in Bristol to Vernon and Margaret (Stouder) King. On Oct. 22, 1974 in Union, MI he married Mildred E. Stanford who preceded him in death on March 7, 2009.
Surviving are his children: Vickie Young of Union, Michigan, Pamela Jones of Elkhart, Jackie (Robert) Black of Bristol, Vicky (Dave) Welle of Bristol, and Ditter Carrico of Hiram, OH; 17 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and 19 great-great-grandchildren.
Max was preceded in death by a son, Michael Carrico, a daughter Mary Jean King, brothers: Dayton and Dewey King and 3 sisters, Ethel Serles, Dorothy Copenhaver and Mildred Richard.
Max was a chrome plater for McDowell’s Enterprise for 22 years before retirement.
A graveside service will be at 2 PM on Monday November 12th at Zion Cemetery. Robert Black will officiate.
