Maynard V. Messick

Maynard “Vince” Messick, 54 of Elkhart, passed away Oct. 31, 2014 at the Elkhart Hospice House.

He was born May 6, 1960 in Elkhart to Maynard C. and Olive (Stanley) Messick. He is survived by a sister, Mary Ann (Curt) Kniffin of Lakeland, FL and a brother, Stan (Lisa Carte) Messick of Bristol; A nephew, Jeremy (Christina) Messick of Goshen, great-niece, Sofia Messick and great-nephew, Diego Messick. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Pam Marion.

Vince graduated from Elkhart Memorial High School and was a painter supervisor for Heartland RV Co. in Elkhart. He loved animals, hunting mushrooms and fishing.

A memorial service for Vince will be at 5 pm Wednesday, Nov. 5th at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home. Family and friends may visit a half hour prior to the service. Curt Kniffin will officiate.
