Merle F. (Mojo) Fluke, 84, of 181 N. Elkhart Ave., Elkhart peacefully passed away in his home at 10:45 pm, Sunday, December 13, 2009.
He was born November 19, 1925 in Elkhart to Fredrick and Esther (Myers) Fluke. On July 9, 1949 he married Erma Hammond in Elkhart. She passed away February 5, 2009.
He is survived by one daughter, Sheila (Doyle) McCauley of Elkhart; two sons, Floyd F. (Tracy) Fluke of Vermillion, OH, and Michael A. (Christine) Fluke of Olathe, KS; 12 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 2 sisters, Deloris Verow and Juanita (Milton) Eash, both of Elkhart.
His parents, one sister, Myrtle Chaffee and 2 brothers, Edson and Bruce preceded him in death.
Mr. Fluke retired from Bock Industries after 30 years of employment. He was a member of the Moose, enjoyed bowling, motorcycling, snowmobiling and Chicago Cubs baseball.
Friends may call Friday from 6 – 8 PM at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart where services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday. Entombment will be in the Chapel of Hope Mausoleum, Rice Cemetery.
