Michael Ray Ivy Jr., age 47, passed away on Thursday, July 14th 2022 in Cassopolis, MI. Michael was born on January 4th 1975 in Modesto, California to Michael Ray Ivy Sr.  and Judy Cheney.

Michael worked in the auto mechanic industry. He enjoyed fishing and family gatherings, where he was affectionally known as the grill guy. He enjoyed making people smile and creating laughter. His favorite time was the time he spent with his children and his family and friends.

Michael is survived by his children, Michael Ray Ivy III of Ft. Wayne IN., Preston Blayne Ivy of Elkhart and Alivia Paige Ivy of Elkhart; his mother Judy Braniff of Elkhart; his sisters Kathy (James) Ivy- Clayton of Oakdale CA and April Cheney of Elkhart, aunts and uncles, Leroy (Dorothy) Cheney, Linda Hart, Shelia Cheney, Sharon (Bill) Keller and Mark Sr. (Peggy) Cheney and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Michael was preceded in death by his father Michael Ray Ivy Sr; his grandparents Betty Jean and Richard Irving Cheney, Marcella and Miles Ivy, sister Sherry Ivy, brother Thomas Ivy, uncles Richard Lee Cheney and Charles “Chuck” Cheney.

Friends may visit with family from 2pm to 6pm on Friday, July 22nd 2022 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514.  Online condolences may be made to the Ivy family at www.stemmlawsonpeterson.com Dinner will be after the funeral services at Judy Braniff’s home.
