Michael R. Kline, Sr.

Michael R. Kline, Sr., 64, of Elkhart, passed away Sunday Jan. 17, 2016 at Elkhart General Hospital.
He was born Sep. 2, 1951 in LaGrange, IN. to George M. and Helen O. (Kissinger) Kline.

On Dec. 19, 1970 he married Cheryle Alwine in South Bend, IN.
She survives along with 4 children: Christie (Josh) Beneker of Osceola, IN; Michael R. (Alex Anderson) Kline II of Shipshewana, IN; Amber (Scott) Carlton of Elkhart; Andy Kline of Elkhart; 5 grandchildren: Kyleigh, Jacob, Abbigale, Annabelle and Benjamin; 2 brothers: Larry Kline of Kendallville, IN and David Kline of Elkhart and his parents.
Michael was preceded in death by a brother Greg Kline and a sister Lois Jane Anderson.

Mike spent most of his life woodworking and making cabinetry and most recently worked at Meijer Central Kitchen. He enjoyed camping, fishing and spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Family and friends may call from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8pm Wednesday and 1 hour prior to the 1pm service Thursday at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Little Pine Cemetery.

Memorials for Mike may be made to St Jude’s Children’s Hospital or Riley Children’s Hospital Foundation.
