Michael P. Saupe

Michael P. Saupe, 64 of Bristol, passed away November 8, 2012 at IU Health, Goshen Hospital. He was born January 31, 1948 in Mishawaka to Philip R. and Gloria (Clark) Saupe and married Ruth Ernsberger on Feb. 27, 1967. She survives with a son, Rodney (Rockelle) Saupe, a daughter Heather (James) Hanes all of Bristol and 2 granddaughters, Jordan and Casey. 3 sisters, Karol (Ron) Rummel , Susan Saupe, and Tina (Jim) Terry all of Florida.

Michael served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and worked for E.R. Carpenter Co. in security. He was a member of Bristol United Methodist Church. He founded the Freewheelers Car Club (a Christian car club) of Goshen. He enjoyed woodworking and loved to feed his birds, putter and go to car shows.

Visitation will be from 4-7 pm Sunday at Bristol United Methodist Church and an hour prior to the 11 am service on Monday. Pastor Fred Stayton will officiate. Burial will follow at Trout Creek Cemetery where military honors will be rendered by the U.S. Army and DAV # 19.
