Mildred E. King

Mildred E. (Millie) King,77 of Elkhart, Indiana died March 7, 2009 @ 6:43 A.M. at Elkhart General Hospital. She was born on April 8, 1931 in Honolulu, Hawaii to Donald and Victoria (Torres) Stanford.She married Max L. King on October 22, 1974 in Union, Michigan.

He survives along with three daughters; Pamela Jones of Elkhart, Jackie (Robert) Black and Vicky (Dave) Welle both of Bristol, Indiana; a son, Ditter (Patti) Carrico of Hiram, Ohio; a step-daughter, Vicky Smith of Michigan; 18 grandchildren, 37 Great-Grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. A son, Michael Carrico and two step-daughters, Jeanie and Marjorie King preceded her in death.

There is no visitation or service planned. Memorial contributions may be given to the United Cancer Services of Elkhart County. Mrs. King was an Avon Dealer for many years in addition to being a housewife. She was a member of the Bristol American Legion Auxiliary Post 143. She was a people person who loved to dance.
