Mildred M. Negris

Mildred M. Negris, 94 of New York, passed away Tuesday, May 12th at Hubbard Hill Estates, Elkhart.

She was born Nov. 8, 1920 in Brooklyn, NY to Nicholas and Ida (Mabie) Miller. She married David E. Negris on Feb. 16, 1946. He preceded her in death on Oct. 8, 2006. Surviving are 2 daughters, Janet R. Streem of Wheaton, IL and Carol (Mark) Kerk of Goshen; 5 grandchildren, Eric (JoAnn) Streem, Brian (Lindsay) Streem, Matthew (Hilary) Streem David (Amanda) Kerk and Sharon Kerk and 4 great-grandchildren, Aidan, Audrey, Eliza and David Streem. She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother and 3 sisters.

Mildred was a homemaker, legal secretary and a passionate volunteer.

Visitation will be Saturday, May 16th from 2pm to 3 pm at Hubbard Hill Estates, where services will begin at 3 pm. Rev. Raymond Laborde will officiate. Burial will be at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.

In lieu of flowers, the family would be pleased for contributions to be given to Hubbard Hill for a wheelchair van.
