Myrtle M. Shank

Myrtle M. Shank, 90 of Goshen, passed away at 9:35 pm January 22, 2013 at her home.

She was born March 12, 1922 in Elkhart to Donald V. and Bessie B. (Conley) Bowman. Surviving are a daughter, Sandra Hoover Nusbaum of Sarasota, FL; a daughter-in-law Margie Shank of Goshen; 11 grandchildren, Chuck Nusbaum, Tina Schultz, Robin Shank, Jackie Miller, Tammy Brown, Mary Jo Malloy, Brandi Shank, Martin Bohlmann, Walter Bohlmann Jr., Denise Johnson and Rhonda Cummings; 19 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren and a sister, Eileen Mast of Elkhart. Myrtle was preceded in death by 2 sons, Ronald and Phillip Shank.

Myrtle retired from customer service in the bakery business and attended Northside Baptist Church. She enjoyed word search, the Hallmark Channel and watching and listening to Jimmy Swaggart.

Visitation will be from 2-6 pm Sunday at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, Elkhart where services will be at 11 am Monday. Pastor Carl Henry will officiate. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
