Ned D. Parcell

Ned D. Parcell, 83 of Elkhart, passed away Thursday June 27, 2013 at Greenleaf Health Campus.

He was born December 29, 1929 in Elkhart to Clifton and Marie (Baughman) Parcell. On January 14, 1951 in Elkhart, he married Beatrice A. Leiber. She survives with 3 children, Connie (Kurt) Glinsmann of Elkhart, Richard (Valerie) Parcell of Bristol and Kathy (Ken) Williams of Elkhart; 3 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and a brother, Don (Norma) Parcell of The Villages, Fl. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ted Parcell, 2 sisters, Kathleen Parcell and Gwen Lapham and a grandson, Michael Sheffer.

Ned served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and retired as a machinist from Jessen Manufacturing Co. He was active in the Genealogy Society and enjoyed wood carving.

Visitation for Ned will be 4-6 pm Sunday at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral & Cremation Center, Elkhart, where services will be held at 1:30 pm Monday. Burial will follow at Prairie Street Cemetery where military honors will be rendered by the U.S. Army and D.A.V. #19.
