Nettie M. Waterman

Nettie M. Waterman, 88 of Edwardsburg, Mich., passed away July 25, 2015 at Elkhart General Hospital.

She was born Aug. 3, 1926 in Elkhart to Foster and Amanda (Fergison) Hartman. She married Ralph A. Waterman of Oct. 24, 1944 in Elkhart. He died on July 10, 2003. Surviving are a son, Ralph (Ginny) Waterman of Edwardsburg and a daughter, Judi Waterman Rose of Elkhart; 9 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley Cobb, 2 sisters, Marion Hartman and Sharon Butcher and 2 brothers, Larry and Harold Leer.

Nettie was a homemaker and a member of the DAV# 19 Aux; VFW#88 Aux; and Bristol American Legion Aux.

Visitation for Nettie will be from 2-4 pm Tuesday, July 28th at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, Elkhart, where services will be at 11 am Wednesday, July 29th. Burial will follow at Prairie Street Cemetery.
