Neva B. Engelhardt

Neva B. Engelhart, 97, of Elkhart, passed away Sunday Sept. 7 at Greenleaf Living Center, Elkhart where she had resided for the past 3 years. She was born Jan. 6, 1917 in Elkhart to William and Clela (Whitmyer) Parkhurst. On March 29, 1941 she married Wilbur “Beak” Engelhardt who preceded her in death on Feb. 5, 1989.
Neva is survived by her daughters: Rowena ( Jim ) Troup and Kathy (Duane) DuBois both of Elkhart, Grandchildren: Bill (Betsy) Troup of Scottsdale, AZ, Jim (Sandie) Troup of Livermore, CA, Julie (Doug) Dillman of Elkhart and Jamie (Wayne) Kaylor of White Pigeon, MI and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her brothers: Waldo “Buster” Parkhurst and Claire “Skinny” Parkhurst.

Neva was a member of 1st United Methodist Church and was a production worker at CTS Corp. before retiring. She was a member of the Quarter Century Club at CTS.

The family especially appreciated the loving care and friendship that Neva received at Greenleaf Living Center. The joys of her life were all her family, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her many friends throughout the years.

A private family burial service will take place at Rice Cemetery. Memorial services will be announced at a later date.

Memorials may be made to the Center for Hospice Care.
