Norman F. Tripp, 90, of Bristol, died Thursday, December 31, 2009 at 1:30 am at Goshen General Hospital.
He was born January 25, 1919 in Bristol to Warren P. and Lois G. (Hemingway) Tripp. He married Phoebe E. Katabah on December 23, 1950 in Muncie, IN. She died June 13, 1993. He is survived by a brother Harlan P. Tripp of Pasadena, CA and 3 sisters Ada M. Kenny of Jefferson, TX, Beverly J. Mann of Baker, FL, and Muriel H. Fry of Constantine, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Barbara Jean Christophel.
Mr. Tripp graduated from Bristol High School in 1937 and was a WWII veteran. He taught shop and history at the University of Indianapolis and formerly worked at Foster’s Machine Company in Elkhart. His hobbies included traveling, photography, gardening and spending time in his wood-working shop.
