O. Marie Kasa

O. Marie Kasa, 81 of Elkhart, passed away September 16, 2014 at the Elkhart Hospice House.

She was born Feb. 16, 1933 in Nashville, TN to Fallie and Beulah (Mills) Joines. She married Larry A. Kasa on June 27, 1964 in Elkhart. He survives with a son, Phillip Kasa of Elkhart, 5 grandchildren: Jessica, Brock, Bailey, Benjamin and Kasey; 4 great-grandchildren; Daughter-in-Law, Peg Kasa of Elkhart and a brother, Michael (Lori) Brock of Hilton Head, SC. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Michael G. Kasa, 2 brothers and 1 sister.

Marie had worked for Excel Corp. and Crown International as an assembler. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church and enjoyed doing crafts with her grandkids and dining out with her family.

Visitation will be Thursday, Sept. 18th from 2-6 pm at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home where services will be at 11 am Friday, Sept. 19th. Reverend John Hogsett will officiate. Burial will follow at Rice Cemetery.
