Patricia A. (Gavit) Creasbaum

Patricia A. Creasbaum, age 94 of Elkhart passed away on June 10, 2022 at Greenleaf Health Campus. She was born on July 31, 1927 in Hammond, IN to Hubert and Grace Gavit. Patricia married Donald R. Creasbaum on July 9, 1949 in Hammond, IN.

Patricia worked in her youth as church secretary and most importantly as a homemaker to her family.

Patricia is survived by her children, Carol Bowers, Donald (Kathleen) Creasbaum, Martin (RaeJean) Creasbaum, Susan (Earl) Hurd and Laura Gillespie; special daughter-in-law Jean Creasbaum; grandchildren Andrew (Amber) Bowers, Sara (Jeremy) Reason, Jacob (Lauren) Creasbaum, Becka Altiere, Jason (Tamara) Creasbaum, Adam (Amie) Creasbaum,  Christopher (Stephanie) Creasbaum, Jeremy (Angela) Creasbaum, Jessica (Mike) Creasbaum, Daniel (Ashley) Hurd, Matthew (Caitlin) Hurd, Joshua (Kim) Gillespie and Jacob (Linnea) Gillespie; 29 great-grandchildren. Patricia was preceded in death by her husband Donald R. Creasbaum, son Dennis Creasbaum, grandson, Samuel Gillespie and son-in-law Richard Bowers.

A memorial service will be held at 11:30 am CDT on Sunday, July 31, 2022 at Tiebel’s Family Restaurant, 1775 US Hwy 41, Schererville, IN 46375 where friends may gather with family to celebrate Patricia’s life with food and fellowship from 12:30 -3:30 pm at the restaurant.  Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514 is assisting the Creasbaum family.
