Patricia Grace Fawley

Patricia Grace Fawley, 90 of Orange Park, FL., formerly of Elkhart, IN., went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 17, 2024. Pat was born on July 19, 1934 in Chicago, IL. to Daniel P. and Mary Highland. Pat married Gerald D. Fawley on March 11, 1962 in Goshen, IN. He preceded her in death on October 9, 2016.

Pat graduated from New Paris High School and furthered her education at Goshen College and Indiana University. She worked as a realtor and closing agent at Century 21-Sands Realty, and then at Concord Community Schools as the Music Department Secretary from 1985- 1995. After she retired from Concord Schools, she was a substitute teacher for the Elkhart Community Schools from 1996- 2001. She was on the Concord Community Schools board from 1974-1985 and also served on the Bashor Children’s Home board. Pat was a member of the Concord Township Board and Past- Matron of Goshen Eastern Star 397, and Eta Chapter of the Delta Chi Sorority. She was a volunteer for the Center for Hospice from 2002 until she moved to Jacksonville in 2019. Pat was a member of Faith United Methodist Church. Pat enjoyed reading, scrapbooking and listening to music and engaging in lively political discussions. Most of all she loved to spend time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be sadly missed.

Pat is survived by her children, Jill (Robert) Arnold of Indianapolis, IN., and Douglas G. Fawley of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren, Maggie (Travis) Manning, Carl Jones and Katie Jones and great-grandchildren Ameilia Rose and Nora Grace. Pat was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brothers, Daniel P. Highland II, and Carl F. Highland.
